A competitor has emerged for Raspberry Pi 3 in form of the Asus Tinker Board. It is same size as of Raspberry Pi, this device features in some notable enhancements that will definitely set it apart from the Pi’s, and might also justify the price that it has been tagged at.
While the raspberry Pi itself is the true “tinker box”, the Asus Tinker Board provides 4K video playback support and gigabit Ethernet. These two features makes the Tinker Board, ideal 4K Media Hub contender. Raspberry Pi is not much capable in the video department and features only 100 Mbps Ethernet speeds.
However raspberry pi is cheaper comes around $47, positioning it better for DIY projects. At around $75, the Asus Tinker Board is double the price.
